For some years now, the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) has been implanting transmitters into an array of insect species, in an attempt to control them remotely. The video below showcases their ability to actually interface with the insects nervous system an set the insect airborn. By implanting these devices at an early stage in the insects early stage of metamorphasis the insects tissue grows around the tiny interface providing the controller with complete control over what free will a moth may have.
